# SnapCut vs Pulse

The clearest difference is rating: Pulse at 5.0 against SnapCut's 4.4. Pulse also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10). SnapCut's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (382 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SnapCut sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Pulse asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pulse holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SnapCut has 382 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SnapCut ships an update weekly, Pulse every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
