# Countdown vs Countdown Remind

The clearest difference is rating: Countdown Remind at 5.0 against Countdown's 4.5. Countdown Remind also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). Countdown's advantage is ratings volume (103 vs 6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Countdown Remind sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown Remind holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown has 103 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Countdown ships an update every 3 weeks, Countdown Remind every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
