# Bera Reader vs Whispr

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bera Reader at every 4 days against Whispr's every 3 weeks. Bera Reader also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bera Reader sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Whispr sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
