# Draw Trace vs Scrip

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Scrip at none against Draw Trace's 3. Scrip also leads on ads (none vs shown). Draw Trace's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Draw Trace sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Scrip asks for nothing beyond the download.

Draw Trace ships an update every 3 weeks, Scrip every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 11, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
