# Eco Walks vs Metro Mapper

The clearest difference is rating: Eco Walks at 4.0 against Metro Mapper's 1.0. Eco Walks also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3). Metro Mapper's advantage is review sentiment (95% vs 60%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 9 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Metro Mapper sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Eco Walks asks for nothing beyond the download.

Eco Walks holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Eco Walks's written reviews are positive against 95% of Metro Mapper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Eco Walks ships an update every 9 months, Metro Mapper fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
