# ExitLag vs BehindYourWall

The clearest difference is rating: BehindYourWall at 5.0 against ExitLag's 4.5. BehindYourWall also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). ExitLag's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ExitLag sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and BehindYourWall sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BehindYourWall holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ExitLag has 1.5K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ExitLag ships an update every 3 weeks, BehindYourWall every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
