# DOOR vs Destination Defender

The clearest difference is rating: Destination Defender at 5.0 against DOOR's 4.5. Destination Defender also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). DOOR's advantage is ratings volume (50K vs 2) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Destination Defender holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DOOR has 50K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DOOR ships an update weekly, Destination Defender every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
