# Magic Merge vs 4U Blocks

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 4U Blocks at none against Magic Merge's 10. 4U Blocks also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Magic Merge's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Merge sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. 4U Blocks asks for nothing beyond the download.

4U Blocks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magic Merge has 1.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Magic Merge ships an update every 6 weeks, 4U Blocks every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
