# Coffee Journal vs Coado

The clearest difference is rating: Coffee Journal at 4.9 against Coado's 4.0. Coffee Journal also leads on ratings volume (30 vs 1). Coado's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 91%) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coffee Journal sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.90 per month and Coado sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coffee Journal holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coffee Journal has 30 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Coffee Journal's written reviews are positive against 100% of Coado's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
