# Telos vs Self App

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Self App at 100% against Telos's 62%. Telos's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (42 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Telos sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Self App sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Telos holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Telos has 42 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Telos's written reviews are positive against 100% of Self App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Telos ships an update every 6 days, Self App every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
