# Puppet Pals Book Builder vs Pixie Pages

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pixie Pages at every 5 days against Puppet Pals Book Builder's every 2 months. Pixie Pages also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Puppet Pals Book Builder's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 50%) and ratings volume (15 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Puppet Pals Book Builder sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pixie Pages sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pixie Pages holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 15 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Puppet Pals Book Builder's written reviews are positive against 50% of Pixie Pages's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Puppet Pals Book Builder ships an update every 2 months, Pixie Pages every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
