# SportyMatch vs Sand

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SportyMatch at none against Sand's 4. SportyMatch also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 1). Sand's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sand sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. SportyMatch asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SportyMatch against 5.0 for Sand. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SportyMatch has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SportyMatch ships an update every 3 weeks, Sand every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
