# Elden Ring Map vs GameCat

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GameCat at 87% against Elden Ring Map's 57%. GameCat also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Elden Ring Map's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (140 vs 35). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Elden Ring Map sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 3 months and GameCat sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Elden Ring Map holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 140 and 35 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Elden Ring Map's written reviews are positive against 87% of GameCat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
