# Chewjitsu vs IBJJF

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Chewjitsu at 100% against IBJJF's 25%. Chewjitsu also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months). IBJJF's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Chewjitsu holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IBJJF has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Chewjitsu ships an update every 3 weeks, IBJJF every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
