# Wood N Tap vs BIRDCODE 2.0

The clearest difference is ads: BIRDCODE 2.0 at none against Wood N Tap's shown. BIRDCODE 2.0 also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Wood N Tap's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BIRDCODE 2.0 holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BIRDCODE 2.0 has 925 ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Wood N Tap's written reviews are positive against 80% of BIRDCODE 2.0's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wood N Tap ships an update every 6 months, BIRDCODE 2.0 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
