# True North Stores vs Timewise Stores

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Timewise Stores at 100% against True North Stores's 50%. Timewise Stores also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 11 months) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). True North Stores's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (273 vs 12). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

True North Stores holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: True North Stores has 273 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of True North Stores's written reviews are positive against 100% of Timewise Stores's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

True North Stores ships an update every 11 months, Timewise Stores every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
