# Oasis vs Steppa

Oasis and Steppa both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 51% of Steppa's written reviews are positive against 19% of Oasis's. Steppa also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and chart position (#87 vs unranked). Oasis's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 days) and ratings volume (13K vs 1.9K). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Oasis sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Steppa sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Oasis against 4.6 for Steppa. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Oasis has 13K ratings behind it against 1.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 19% of Oasis's written reviews are positive against 51% of Steppa's.

Oasis ships an update every 2 days, Steppa every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
