# Mindsnap vs SmartMe

The clearest difference is rating: SmartMe at 4.8 against Mindsnap's 4.6. SmartMe also leads on ratings volume (3.6K vs 297). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mindsnap sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and SmartMe sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SmartMe holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartMe has 3.6K ratings behind it against 297, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Mindsnap's written reviews are positive against 46% of SmartMe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
