# Mindsnap vs AI Note Taker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AI Note Taker at 100% against Mindsnap's 48%. Mindsnap's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.8) and ratings volume (297 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mindsnap sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and AI Note Taker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mindsnap holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mindsnap has 297 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Mindsnap's written reviews are positive against 100% of AI Note Taker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
