# Catagrams vs urbWord

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: urbWord at none against Catagrams's 7. urbWord also leads on ads (none vs shown). Catagrams's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 18 months) and ratings volume (58 vs 1). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Catagrams sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. urbWord asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Catagrams against 5.0 for urbWord. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Catagrams has 58 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
