# NBConnected vs Summary

The clearest difference is rating: Summary at 4.7 against NBConnected's 3.0. Summary also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 4 months). NBConnected's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Summary sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. NBConnected asks for nothing beyond the download.

Summary holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Summary has 57K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NBConnected ships an update every 4 months, Summary every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
