# InRead vs Ice Comic

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Ice Comic at 38 against InRead's 2. On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InRead sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Ice Comic sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for InRead against 4.9 for Ice Comic. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ice Comic has 38 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 85% of InRead's written reviews are positive against 90% of Ice Comic's.

InRead ships an update every 3 weeks, Ice Comic fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
