# Flownote vs NoteIQ

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Flownote at 2.5K against NoteIQ's 1. Flownote also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 10 days). NoteIQ's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flownote sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and NoteIQ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoteIQ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flownote has 2.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Flownote ships an update every 5 days, NoteIQ every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
