# WeatherSat vs PDRadar

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: WeatherSat at none against PDRadar's 3. WeatherSat also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (11 vs 1). PDRadar's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 days). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDRadar sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $64.99 per month. WeatherSat asks for nothing beyond the download.

PDRadar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WeatherSat has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

WeatherSat ships an update every 4 days, PDRadar every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
