# Recaster vs AUX

The clearest difference is rating: AUX at 5.0 against Recaster's 4.8. Recaster's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AUX holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Recaster has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Recaster ships an update fortnightly, AUX every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
