# Metric vs SplitSol

The clearest difference is ads: Metric at none against SplitSol's shown. SplitSol's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Metric sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $35.00 per month and SplitSol sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Metric ships an update every 5 weeks, SplitSol every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
