# VisualMind vs Notely

The clearest difference is monetization model: VisualMind at free with in-app purchases against Notely's subscription. VisualMind also leads on ratings volume (3.3K vs 321). Notely's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (40% vs 23%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VisualMind sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per 7 days and Notely sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for VisualMind against 4.5 for Notely. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VisualMind has 3.3K ratings behind it against 321, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 23% of VisualMind's written reviews are positive against 40% of Notely's.

VisualMind ships an update every 3 weeks, Notely every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
