# Omi vs Ruune

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Omi at none against Ruune's 4. Omi also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 9 days) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). Ruune's advantage is review sentiment (86% vs 59%). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ruune sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $10.99 per month. Omi asks for nothing beyond the download.

Omi holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Omi has 132 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Omi's written reviews are positive against 86% of Ruune's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Omi ships an update daily, Ruune every 9 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
