# Thinking Tutor vs Assimil MCQs

The clearest difference is update cadence: Assimil MCQs at every 3 weeks against Thinking Tutor's every 6 weeks. Assimil MCQs also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Thinking Tutor sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Assimil MCQs sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Thinking Tutor ships an update every 6 weeks, Assimil MCQs every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
