# ELI5 vs StudyFi

The clearest difference is rating: ELI5 at 4.0 against StudyFi's 3.7. StudyFi's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ELI5 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and StudyFi sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ELI5 holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StudyFi has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ELI5 ships an update every 2 months, StudyFi every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
