# ELI5 vs Visual Learning

The clearest difference is ads: ELI5 at none against Visual Learning's shown. Visual Learning's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ELI5 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Visual Learning sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ELI5 ships an update every 2 months, Visual Learning every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
