# Finalist vs Thronefall

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Finalist at none against Thronefall's 2. Thronefall's advantage is ratings volume (3.8K vs 4) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Thronefall sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Finalist asks for nothing beyond the download.

Thronefall holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thronefall has 3.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Finalist's written reviews are positive against 64% of Thronefall's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Finalist ships an update every 2 months, Thronefall every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
