# LEGO® Play vs the Internet Puzzle Database

The clearest difference is rating: LEGO® Play at 4.5 against the Internet Puzzle Database's 3.5. LEGO® Play also leads on ratings volume (13K vs 2). the Internet Puzzle Database's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LEGO® Play holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LEGO® Play has 13K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of LEGO® Play's written reviews are positive against 50% of the Internet Puzzle Database's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LEGO® Play ships an update weekly, the Internet Puzzle Database every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
