# LEGO® Play vs Gravity Type

The clearest difference is rating: Gravity Type at 5.0 against LEGO® Play's 4.5. Gravity Type also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). LEGO® Play's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (13K vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gravity Type holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LEGO® Play has 13K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LEGO® Play ships an update every 9 days, Gravity Type every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
