# 2nd try vs TheoryVerse

The clearest difference is rating: 2nd try at 5.0 against TheoryVerse's 3.0. 2nd try also leads on ratings volume (7.1K vs 3) and chart position (#152 vs unranked). TheoryVerse's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 2nd try sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and TheoryVerse sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

2nd try holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 2nd try has 7.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

2nd try ships an update every 2 months, TheoryVerse every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 12, 2026 respectively.
