# Phone Tracker vs Compass

The clearest difference is ads: Phone Tracker at none against Compass's shown. Phone Tracker also leads on ratings volume (5.8K vs 2) and chart position (#140 vs unranked). Compass's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Phone Tracker sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Compass sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Phone Tracker against 4.5 for Compass. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Phone Tracker has 5.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of Phone Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Compass's.

Phone Tracker ships an update every 3 weeks, Compass every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
