# CourTools vs Dance Studio Syllabus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Dance Studio Syllabus at every 3 weeks against CourTools's every 3 months. CourTools's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CourTools sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Dance Studio Syllabus sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $39.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CourTools ships an update every 3 months, Dance Studio Syllabus every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
