# Beginning vs Flowy

The clearest difference is ads: Flowy at none against Beginning's shown. Flowy also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). Beginning's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beginning sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Flowy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Beginning ships an update every 3 months, Flowy every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
