# Notifyman vs Nextpod

The clearest difference is monetization model: Nextpod at freemium against Notifyman's subscription. Nextpod also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 87%) and device support (3 vs 1). Notifyman's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notifyman sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year and Nextpod sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Notifyman against 5.0 for Nextpod. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notifyman has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 87% of Notifyman's written reviews are positive against 100% of Nextpod's.

Notifyman ships an update every 3 days, Nextpod every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
