# Teacher AI vs SpeakGator

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SpeakGator at 100% against Teacher AI's 46%. SpeakGator also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). Teacher AI's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.8) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Teacher AI sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month and SpeakGator sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Teacher AI holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Teacher AI has 269 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Teacher AI's written reviews are positive against 100% of SpeakGator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Teacher AI ships an update fortnightly, SpeakGator every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
