# PDF Reader Pro vs Nova

The clearest difference is update cadence: Nova at every 2 weeks against PDF Reader Pro's every 2 months. Nova also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Reader Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Nova sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Reader Pro ships an update every 2 months, Nova every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
