# MIG vs GeoClue

The clearest difference is update cadence: GeoClue at every 8 days against MIG's every 10 months. MIG's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MIG sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and GeoClue sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MIG ships an update every 10 months, GeoClue every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
