# Notes vs Papyrus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Notes at every 2 days against Papyrus's every 4 days. Notes also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Papyrus sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notes ships an update every 2 days, Papyrus every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
