# Ripples vs Ticking

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Ripples at 235 against Ticking's 3. Ripples also leads on iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.0). Ticking's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ripples sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Ticking sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ticking holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ripples has 235 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
