# Ripples vs FloatyDo

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Ripples at 235 against FloatyDo's 3. Ripples also leads on review sentiment (93% vs 83%). FloatyDo's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ripples sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and FloatyDo sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FloatyDo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ripples has 235 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Ripples's written reviews are positive against 83% of FloatyDo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
