# Ripples vs Notepods

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Ripples at 235 against Notepods's 4. Notepods's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ripples sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Notepods sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notepods holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ripples has 235 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ripples ships an update fortnightly, Notepods every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
