# Diary & Events vs Etched

The clearest difference is update cadence: Etched at every 2 days against Diary & Events's weekly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diary & Events sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Etched sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Diary & Events ships an update weekly, Etched every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
