# Lion XP vs EVOLVE

The clearest difference is monetization model: Lion XP at freemium against EVOLVE's subscription. Lion XP also leads on review sentiment (52% vs 17%) and ads (none vs shown). EVOLVE's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lion XP sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and EVOLVE sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EVOLVE holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 313 and 1K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Lion XP's written reviews are positive against 17% of EVOLVE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lion XP ships an update every 2 weeks, EVOLVE every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
