# Viewu vs OpenCloud

The clearest difference is rating: Viewu at 5.0 against OpenCloud's 4.3. Viewu also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). OpenCloud's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 71%) and ratings volume (22 vs 7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Viewu holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 22 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Viewu's written reviews are positive against 83% of OpenCloud's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Viewu ships an update every 3 days, OpenCloud every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
