# Calendar Notes vs Calendar App

The clearest difference is rating: Calendar Notes at 4.9 against Calendar App's 4.0. Calendar Notes also leads on ratings volume (128 vs 1). Calendar App's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 11 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Calendar Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calendar Notes has 128 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Calendar Notes's written reviews are positive against 100% of Calendar App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Calendar Notes ships an update every 11 months, Calendar App every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
